Author Mary Casanova

March 19 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Edgerton Library

Mary Casanova is an award-winning children’s author of novels and picture books. Many of her books stem from her life on the Minnesota-Canadian border; others stories have taken her as far away as France, Belize, and Norway. Whatever the setting for her books, Casanova writes stories that matter–and books that kids can’t put down.

This is a program for all ages. Mary engages younger audiences with puppets and a canoe for an interactive performance of her beloved picture book One-Dog Canoe; with older audiences, she explores moral dilemmas found in her novels, such as a MN wildcat strike (1989) or Prohibition on the northern border (1920s).

This project is funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
